Together with Michiel Teeuw and Mylan Hoezen we created a triple bill program with 3 performances during 2 days, where we presented our newest works at the old Factory at Eemskanaal Noordzijde, in Groningen.
LIEFHEBBEN by the Groninger director and visual artist Nina Wijnmaalen is a poignant performance about a group of young people looking for love and security. They show us fragments of thoughts and desires while making futile attempts to reach each other. Loving is hard, being loved even harder. In this performance about vulnerability and the complexity of communication Wijnmaalen works with a group of amateurs and (semi)professionals. Seven performers and a pianist are in search of contact and mutual connection and bring each other to a climax and ultimately hold up a mirror to us: this is the way we treat each other.
